SERVICES - DRILLED SHAFTS
| With experience that includes industrial facilities, transmission lines, elevated highways and bridge foundations, as well as high-rise commercial buildings, Case Foundation has become the deep foundation contractor of choice for many owners and their engineers. Our drilled shaft resume includes many complex and challenging projects in Chicago. We installed 10-ft diameter, 115-ft. deep drilled shafts to support the Sears Tower, one of the world’s tallest buildings. In Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, a 2,700-ft. bridge is founded on 9-ft. diameter shafts drilled through up to 100 ft. of water. And in central Arizona, drilled shafts extend 100 ft. below scour level support mile-long, twin road bridges running in the Salt River Channel. In the Northeast, our work is typically on very large and/or complex projects. Installation of 225 drilled shafts for the Secaucus Rail Station, NJ, included the drilled shaft foundations for the four office buildings built over the air rights of the station and the Amtrak Acela tracks. In Boston we installed over 600 drilled shafts up to 150 ft. deep for the "Keystone" contract on The Central Artery "Big Dig". Our Northeast work also included the installation of approximately 1,000 drilled shafts for 15 stations and four bridges on the New Jersey Light Rail Line between Camden and Trenton. |
