COMPANY HISTORY
Case Atlantic Company is a subsidiary of Case Foundation Company (Case), which “cut its teeth” on the Chicago hardpan soils over fifty years ago. Case evolved from a local drilled shaft contractor into one of the industry’s most widely-respected and successful deep foundation specialists. Since its inception, Case has been a leader in innovating deep foundation technology, from the introduction of mechanized drilled shaft construction to the development of specialized tools for rock-socketed shaft installation and the advancement of top-down concrete slurry wall construction. With locations in Chicago, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Detroit, Clearwater and Huntsville, Case offers a nationwide service of proven capability and experience to meet the challenging and complex construction needs of its clients.
In 1998, Case purchased Smith Drilling based in Clearwater, Florida and Case Atlantic Company (Case Atlantic) was born. Case Atlantic continues the tradition of excellence and innovation to meet the needs of an ever-changing world.
In the deep foundation industry, there’s no such thing as an overnight success. It takes years of commitment, backed by a track record of quality and performance for a company to earn a leadership position in this competitive market. Case Atlantic is such a company.
EXPERIENCE
Case Foundation Company was founded in San Francisco by Vernon Case in 1949. He moved the company to Chicago in 1955 where he developed the mechanized installation techniques that revolutionized drilled shaft construction. There he responded to the challenges of building increasingly large, heavily-loaded structures within smaller urban land areas. Case continued to advance the industry by pioneering drilled shaft equipment that is in widespread use today. Over the years, the Case family of companies has honed a reputation for solid achievement through the successful completion of complex drilled shaft projects all over the United States.
Case is much more than a premier drilled shaft contractor; its “toolbox” includes structural diaphragm walls, secant pile walls, augercast piles, off-shore drilling, top down construction, large and small diameter shaft construction, ductile iron pipe piles and CasePilesTM plus the expertise and resources to develop and deliver the optimum solution. Case is nationally recognized as one of America’s foremost deep foundation specialists.
